US Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) director Christopher Ray said the law enforcement agency sees riots in Capitol Hill on January 6 by supporters of former President Donald Trump as domestic terrorism. In a hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday, Ray said, "That attack, the siege, the criminal behavior, is simply the behavior that we, the people of the FBI, see as domestic terrorism."
So far in the wake of the January 6 attack, at least 280 people have been arrested on more than 300 charges. Five people were killed in the attack, including a Capitol police officer.
