Mumbai: Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez who is under the scanner in the Rs 200-crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar appeared before Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its office in Delhi on Wednesday, sources said.

The ED had asked Fernandez to be present at its office by 11 am on Wednesday for questioning as a witness in the alleged multi-crore rupee extortion racket run by Chandrasekhar. The actor had earlier skipped various summons issued by the federal agency citing different reasons.

On Sunday, Fernandez was offloaded from an Air India flight at about 5.25 pm by Immigration Officials following a Look Out Circular of the ED against her.

She was scheduled to fly to Muscat by AI-985 flight that was scheduled to depart at 5.5O pm. The LOC was issued with directions that Fernandez should not be permitted to leave India.

Earlier, the ED had questioned Fernandez in Mumbai in August for more than six hours.

Another actor Nora Fatehi was also questioned by the ED here in connection with the same case for the second time last week. The ED is looking into various people who are directly or indirectly connected to this case.
