Two big names in Bollywood’s music industry, singer Javed Ali and composer-singer Salim Merchant have joined hands to pay tribute to the Covid-19 warriors as they dedicate their new music album Jazaak Allah  to be released on May 8, the day of Jamat-ul-Alvida (the last Friday 0f Ramazan), to their relentless fight to save lives and help the sick.

Giving information about Jazaak Allah, Salim Merchant said, "The twenty-four hours is dedicated to the health warriors and NGO workers who are involved in helping patients and their families by providing cure and mitigating the humanity’s suffering in Covid pandemic."

However, he did not reveal the contents of the album.

As India battles the deadly second wave of Covid-19 and faces a daily caseload of over four lakh, people are scared about the third wave that the scientists say is just around.

Apart from money and equipment, the country also needs to cheer up those engaged in helping the patients recover and taking care of those in home isolation. While healthcare workers are engaged in hospitals round the clock, doctors are providing prescriptions through telemedicine, the social workers are ferrying oxygen cylinders, food and medicines to needy people.

Javed Ali and Salim Merchant have thus thoughtfully dedicated this album to their dedication and hard work.

Salim and his elder brother Suleiman Marchant have composed music in Zazaak Allah music album to Irfan Siddiqui's lyrics. It’s being released by Merchant Records Company.

In the poster of the album, Javed Ali and Salim Merchant are shown sitting together with the  Hazratbal shrine of Kashmir and the crescent in the background.

Meanwhile, superstar Salman Khan has also announced to donate all his earning from his upcoming film 'Radhey’ to be released on the occasion of Eid towards the prevention of corona.
