The Government of Maharashtra is planning to approach Bollywood superstar Salman Khan to help it address the problem of hesitancy among the Muslims to get vaccinated against the Covid-19.
State’s health minister Rajesh Tope disclosed this to media persons.
He said,”There is still some degree of hesitation about the vaccine in Muslim-majority areas. We have decided to take the help of other religious leaders including Salman Khan so that they can convince the Muslim community to take the vaccine. Religious leaders and film actors have a lot of influence and people listen to them."
Maharashtra will be administering10.25 crore vaccines by the end of November and by then all eligible persons will get at least one dose.
