Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind has asked Muslims to keep in mind that the Covid pandemic is not yet over and therefore they must follow the guidelines of wearing face masks and maintaining social distancing during prayers and festivities related to the forthcoming festival of Eid-ul Zuha, theBark Eid.

Arshad Madani, president, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, said that it is better to offer brief prayers after twenty minutes of sunrise.

He asked Muslims to ensure the remains of the animals sacrificed on the festival are not thrown here and there and must be buried discretely.

Madani also asked the Muslims to follow the law of the land and avoid the sacrifice of banned animals, especially in view of the current social and political environment in states like Uttar Pradesh. He said the religion allows the Muslims to substitute a black animal with those whose slaughter is banned in India, they must follow this dictum wherever required.

If at someplace the miscreants stop the sacrifice, then the influential people of the area should take up the matter with the administration. Despite this, if the problem persists, the Muslims must do the sacrament of sacrificing an animal at the nearest centre of the population where there is no conflict.

In case of an acute problem, a goat can always be sacrificed. However, the community members must keep the authorities informed to prevent any disturbance.

The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind chief said Muslims should not be discouraged by the circumstances; they must face the situation with peace, love and patience on every front. Also, Muslims should pray to Allah for protection from epidemics like coronavirus.
