Delhi Police has sought 14-day custody of Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair after his 4-day remand ended on Saturday. Zubair is facing charges for allegedly hurting religious sentiments, through a social media post.

Police has also added conspiracy and destruction of evidence in the FIR filed.

Earlier on Saturday morning Zubair was brought out of the Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit of the Delhi Police Special Cell in Dwarka.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court on Friday issued a notice to Delhi Police on the plea moved by Zubair challenging the police custody remand granted by a trial court.
