Indresh Kumar, a senior RSS leader said the BJP had taken an unprecedented step of removing Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal from the party positions after they made controversial remarks and wondered why the AIMIM leader and MP Asaduddin Owaisi was objecting to police booking him for his inappropriate remarks.

Indresh, member of the RSS’s national executive, was speaking at the Jawahar lal Nehru University on the occasion of release of a book Himalaya- Indian Ocean Group of Nations: Revitalizing the Culture and Maritime Trade Relations

The programme held by Rashtriya Suraksha Jagran Manch, an RSS affiliate..

Indresh Kumar said that India is the only country where a ruling party takes a strict action against its leader for speaking inappropriately about religions. He said this was unprecedented and one may not see such a reaction by any ruling dispensation in other countries, nor is there any precedent of other political parties taking such hersh action against their leaders.

“When Nupur and Naveen said something wrong, the party fired them. But, if Asaduddin Owaisi says something wrong, who will take action against him, if PFI leaders say something wrong, who will take action against them. If Tauqeer Raza says something wrong, then who will take action against him,” Indresh Kumar said in reference to Owaisi question the police action of filing cases against him.

“Ramayana is a casteless history. There is no surname in front of any character's name in Ramayana. The story of Ramayana is free from all the modern day crimes. “In Ram Rajya, no thefts happened, so people did not lock their houses. Nobody was hungry, everyone had a house, the sick received treatment.

He says India as is based on the character of Lord Rama. He said the environment in the JNU has changed for better and conducive to studies.
