The death toll in Mumbai’s Kurla building collapse has risen to 17.
According to officials, the entire wing of the four-storey building in Kurla east suburb of Mumbai crashed on Monday night, trapping many persons living there.
The injured were rushed to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar and LTMG Hospital in Sion.
The rescue teams of Mumbai Fire Brigade and other agencies besides local volunteers, who joined the rescue efforts there have expressed a potential risk to the adjoining second wing of the same building which could also collapse anytime.

The state government has announced a compensation of five lakh rupees to the families of each of the deceased.
