Pakistani terrorist Tabarak Hussain of the Lashkar-e-toiba terrorist organisation who was caught alive in Rajouri sector of Jammu by the Indian Army says he is grateful to those who saved him while his accomplices fled back into the Pakistan occupied territory on being challenged by the Indian army last week.

Tabarak who is being treated for his serious gunshot injuries in the Army hospital of Rajouri, told media persons he had come on a “mission to die” and attack the Indian army posts in “jungle border.”

Tabarak is a prized catch for the Indian army and is as precious as a live evidence of Pakistan’s involvement in terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir as the LeT’s Ajmal Qasab was in the case of Mumbai attacks of 2008.

Besides, this comes at a time when Pakistan is trying its best to get out of the FATF’s grey list of countries that don’t have systems to deter terrorists from using their financial channels for their activities.

News agency has released his brief interview on Twitter:

As irony would have it, Tabarak is alive because of the blood of jawans who donated for him. Brig Rajeev Nair, Commandant, Army hospital Rajouri told the media persons that Tabarak has a rare blood group and he received three bottles of blood donated by the jawans.

Interestingly, he is also being fed by the Army jawans in the hospital.

Tabarak is a highly trained Lashkar terrorist who knows the area like the palm of his hand. Hailing from Sabzkot village close to the LOC in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, he claimed to be on a suicide mission.

Speaking in a Punjabi dialect from his hospital bed,Tabarak said, he was sent by Pakistan army’s Col Yusuf Choudhary to attack the Indian army posts. He claimed he was paid Rs 30,000 for the mission.

The army officer’s name may not be real but if the money trail is established it would create problems for Pakistan. Besides, the live testimony of the injured man is generally relied upon by the International institutions.

He carried a rifle and so did four others who fled into POK after coming under attack by the Indian army in Nowshehra sector last week. The Army jawans had rescued him from a pit where he was crying and beseeching them to save his life after an encounter.

The Indian army said he was surely on a suicidal mission since his private parts and armpits were shaven, a ritual believed to be common among the fidayeen.
