Congress leader Rahul Gandhi joined the Enforcement Directorate (ED) probe in the money laundering case for the fifth day on Tuesday.

He has already been questioned by the ED for over 40 hours over four days on June 13, 14, 15 and 20.

After the first three days of appearance, he had requested the ED to grant him an exemption following Sonia Gandhi’s hospitalization due to Covid 19.

Rahul Gandhi is being questioned in detail about the ownership of the Young Indian Private Limited by the Gandhi family and its shareholding pattern in the Associate Journals Limited, the company that runs the National Herald Newspaper.

YIL was acquired by AJL in 2010, making it the owner of all assets owned by the National Herald newspaper.
