Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani, General  Secretary, All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB), has advised Muslims to make sure that the festival of Eid-ul Adha is not turned into a day to hurt the feeling of the people of other faiths.

He asked Muslims that special care should be taken to ensure peace; not litter the public spaces with animal leftovers after the ritual slaughtering of animals that raises stench.

Maulana Rahmani said that Eid-ul-Adha is a very important festival for Muslims. It reminds us of the two prophets of Allah, Hazrat Ibrahim, and Hazrat Ismail. It also reminds us to be ready for all kinds of sacrifices for the sake of Allah's grace. Therefore all of us need to stay on track on Aqeeda-e-Tauheed (anchor sheet of Islam).

He said that the animal sacrifice on Eid-ul-Adha is enjoined upon for the rich Muslims and other religions also have this tradition, but “while slaughtering an animal for sacrifice it is important to keep in mind that it should not be done in a manner that hurts others.”

“It is against the Shariat to disturb the peace, to spread filth around that ends in releasing stench, to throw waste animal parts on the road and in the human settlements.”

He said that the Shari'a does not allow this at all. It is everyone's responsibility to protect the law and health, and protect society from diseases.
The animal left over must be discarded at the places designated by the local municipal authorities. “Muslims must take care of cleanliness and brotherhood on Bakrid,” Maulana Khalid Saifullah Rahmani said.
