India crushed hosts West Indies by 119 runs in the third One Day International (ODI) to make a clean sweep of the three-match series on Thursday.

Top bowling spells from Yuzvendra Chahal and pacers Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur helped India defeat the hosts in the rain-hit match.

India led by skipper Shikhar Dhawan’s 58 and Shubham Gill’s unbeaten 98 set a revised target of 257 for the West Indies to chase in 35 overs.

The opening pair put up a 113 runs stand.

India scored 225 for the loss of three wickets in 36 overs.

In reply, the hosts fell prey to a world-class bowling attack with their careless shot selection. Chahal took four for 17 runs, while Siraj and Shardul Thakur each scaled two wickets each.

Earlier, India had won the first two matches of the series at the same venue by 3 runs and 2 wickets respectively.
