An unbeaten 111-run partnership between Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan helped India register a 10-wicket win over England in the first One-Day-International on Tuesday.

Earlier Jasprit Bumrah cut through England’s innings with six wickets for 19 runs in 7.2 overs to bowl out the hosts for 110.

Apart from Bumrah, Mohammed Shami took three wickets and Prasidh Krishna one wicket.

The host’s innings lasted just 25.2 overs. Jos Buttler was the highest scorer for England with 30 runs.

Chasing, Rohit Sharma smashed an unbeaten 76 runs off 58 balls while Shikhar Dhawan hit 31 runs in 54 balls to help India overcome the target in just 18.4 overs.

Put in to bat first the England top-order never looked comfortable against the pace and swing of the Indian pacers.
