Veteran shooter Chandra Tomar, popularly known as 'Shooter Dadi' whose popularity rose to the skies when a Bollywood film was made on her life, lost her battle with Covid-19.
She passed away at a hospital in Meerut where she was admitted a week ago for breathing difficulty. She tested positive for the viral infection and was being treated.
The 89-year old Chandro Dadi was a social media star. Her posts on Twitter in the Haryanvi dialect evoked a lot of response from the netizens.
She often commented in one-liners on the current situation.
Her last Tweet was about her ill-health:

Chandra Tomar had won several medals at the national and state levels in the shooting. She belonged to Johari village in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap also made a film based on his life, Saand ki aankh starring Tapsi Paannu and took her story to crores of Bollywood fans.
Her death is being mourned on Twitter.
