On a global hunt for cryogenic tankers that would be used for carrying oxygen to different hospitals for treatment of Covid patients across the county, our vessels filled filled with 80 metric tons of liquid oxygen are on the way from Saudi Arabia to India.

This was announced by the Indian Mission in Riyadh on Twitter.

The  Indian Embassy in Riyadh said: Embassy of India is proud to partner with the Adani Group and M/s Linde in shipping much needed 80MT liquit oxygen to India. Our heartfelt thanks to Ministry of health Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for all their help, support and cooperation.

The oxygen and cryogenic tanks are coming to India as a part of the deal between Saudi company M/s Linde and the Gautam Adani’s Adani group.

Gautam Adani thanked the Indian Embassy for the efforts in making it happen. He announced the deal and posted images of the shipment that has taken to the sea from Damman for Mudra.

:Actions speak louder than words,” Gautam adani said on Twitter, in an obvious reference his critics. He wrote:

We are on an urgent mission to secure oxygen supplies from across the world The first shipment  of 4 ISO cryogenic tanks with 80MT of liquid oxygen is on the way from Dammam to Mudra.

Adani also wote: Back home, we are also arranging additional oxygen supplies for speedy distribution in Gujarat. Everyday, our teams are hard at work, filling 1,500 cylinders with medical oxygen and transporting them to wherever they are needed in Kutch district.

He said In addition to ISO cryogenic tanks, we are also securing from Linde Saudi Arabia another 5,000 medical-grade oxygen cylinders. These too will be quickly sent to India. I am thankful to our Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Dr. Ausaf Sayeed for assisting us in this regard.
