A mosque in Hyderabad has opened a skill development center in its premises. Named Ayesha Effendi Skill Development Center (AASDC), after the mother of one of the sponsors, it’s the baby of Faiz-e-Aam Trust of Masjid located at Khazana Doodh Bawdi.

The center was inaugurated on Sunday.

President of the mosque, Dr. Makhdoom Mohiuddin sid on the occasion, that as there are a lot of employment opportunities in the field of big and small jobs related to computer, the center will train the youth.

He said since this trend of employment will continue in the coming years, therefore, we have decided to educate our youth in the field of computers from the beginning. “There is a need to open computer related skill development centers in and around cities and villages to educate students who are unable to get admission in private institutions,” he said.

He said we have to face new challenges in every aspect of life, so it needs a different approach to solve them.

At the function local journalist Zaheeruddin Ali Khan said, "Mosques and madrasas can play an important role in the life of Muslims. A new era can be started by imparting modern education to Imams and Muezzins. This will help in encouraging the youth and there can be a paradigm shift in the Muslim community."

AASDC has been established by Syed Abdul Rahim of Canada and Dr. Abdul Rahim under the guidance of Dr. Faiz-e-Aam Trust in the name of their late mother.

He said, “The need of the hour is to create a sense of trade and commerce among religious scholars. He told that in Bhatkal, Karnataka, Imam and Muezzin do their business apart from their traditional role. ,

Speaking about the employment of women, Khan said that in Taiwan and other developed countries, women work in manufacturing units of mobile phones, computer chips and cameras. If such programs are started in the old city of Hyderabad, then women can be empowered. It is possible to improve their financial condition.

Khan advised Muslim youth not to waste their time and instead focus on their future.

He said, “I recently met the president of T-Hub. He said that Muslims are intelligent and dynamic people. All they need is proper guidance. Muslim scholars can give such guidance to the youth."
