Solar cart inventor Ahzaruddin gets offers from USA, Indonesia

Azharuddin, inventor of a car from scrap that works both on electricity and solar power, is being approached by an Indonesian company for his product and a top university of the USA has offered him admission for pursuing higher education.

As they say God helps those who help themselves; Life of this 20-year-old second-year mechanical engineering student from a small town of northern India – Muradnagar - is about to change.

 Azharuddin is happy at the offers and new opportunities. In fact several Indian companies have already approached Azharudin and various organizations have even placed orders for his e-cars.

He thanked media for highlighting his invention and believe the media coverage has opened opportunities for him.

Azharuddin has already received online orders for his electric vehicle that he made out of scrap metal. He has also developed an electric bicycle that can cover a distance of 100 km with a single charge. In addition to the electric cart, Azharuddin has also developed a solar car, which does not need to be charged. At the moment, he is trying to get his e-cart verified by the government before staring manufacturing.

Azharudin is a student of B Tech at Subharti University, Meerut. In view of his innovative approach to engineering his college has waived off his tuition fees. His teachers are also helping Azharuddin in spreading a word about his innovations and getting permissions from government for manufacturing etc.

Azharuddin hails from a small village near Murad Nagar inwestern UP. His father works as a casual labourer and he managed to give his son a normal education

A housing society in Hyderabad has placed an order for 6 solar carts to Azharuddin. The society intends to use the cart for local commutation by senior citizens with the sprawling housing complex.

He has also received orders from Dubai and Indonesia. Azhar made the first e-cart for just Rs 1.5 lakh. His e-cart was shown in an exhibition in Dubai.

Azhar says he wants to develop low-cost and environmentally-friendly vehicles for India to deal with growing problems of pollution and global warming.
