The 11-year Affan Kutty was least interested in his studies or even sports. He kept playing games on the mobile phone and watched funny videos on apps all the time.

His addiction to mobile had effected his eyesight, making him wear spectacles for clear vision at a younger age.

One day his father gifted him a Rubik-cube and told him if he solves it in two days, we would get to meet his favourite person as a reward.

Affan Kutty put all his passion into solving the Rubik-cube puzzle and was successful within the deadline given by his father.

The father fulfilled his promise; the same evening, he took him to meet his favourite person

This incident became the turning point in the life of the 11-year-old Mumbai boy who is since known as the Limca Book Record Holder Master Affan Kutty.

Speaking to Awaz-the Voice, Affan's father said that at times he thoughthis son was capable of nothing but handling his mobile. However, after he solved the Rubik-cube, it changed Afghan's life and gave him a goal.

Affan's Holi greetings on Rubik Cube

The family lives in Mumbara area of Mumbai. At present, Affan is preparing for his board examination for tenth standard. For Affan right now getting good scores in the examination is a short term goal but in the long-term, he wants to set a world record in solving Rubik cube at the level that he sees his name in the Guinness Book of World Records.

He is working hard to realize his long-term goal yet he is in search of a sponsor to promote him.

This gifted child is also thinking of writing a book on mobile or social media addictions that probably will be based on his own experiences. He is also likely to explain how to get out of such addiction.

Since leaving his mobile version, Affan has been the speaker at TED TALK and is invited as a special guest in many television reality shows.

Affan’s another incredible achievement is writing the national anthem through Rubik-cubes in blindfold. He sends greetings to people on festivals like Holi, Diwali and Eid through Rubik cubes.
