A Free Health Camp for women was organized by Awaz-e-Khwateen, a Delhi-based NGO, at Purkazi village in Muzaffarnagar in association with Yatharth Super Speciality Hospitals. Over 250 women attended the camp where doctors explained to them various common health issues of women's like abnormal vaginal discharge. Many were diagnosed with underlying reproductive tract infections.

Doctors explained the importance of menstrual hygiene as lack of it was leading to untreated infections of the reproductive tract. Free sanitary pads were also distributed to promote safe menstrual hygiene practices.

Members of the NGO Awaz-e-Khwateen also pointed out that women's nutrition is often not a priority in a typical Indian household. Ratna Shukla, Director Awaz-e-Khwateen said that in a family a woman is often the last one to eat and that leads to poor nutritional intake specifically amongst women.

The team also distributes Iron, Folic Acid, and Calcium tablets among these women.
