The four-year-old Taiyba Hassan had lost her voice when she was injured in a road accident on April 17 during the holy month of Ramzan in her native place Paliganj, Patna Bihar. Doctors said the accident had left her vocal cords paralyzed and due to this she was unable to speak.

Almost three months later, Taiyba Hassan regained her voice, thanks to the doctors from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Patna.

And since Taiyba is a Muslim, she being able to speak again on the days of Eid-ul-Adha, is being seen as divine intervention.

Taiyba's uncle on Sunday shared a video of the girl singing a nursery rhyme after more thn two and a half months of silence.

Doctors said, “This miracle was possible because of the dedicated team of doctors at the institute. Doctors from trauma and emergency, neurosurgery, ear, nose and throat (ENT) and physical therapy and rehabilitation (PMR) departments did these wonders.”

The girl's maternal uncle, MD Asif Ansari (22), who works in an IT firm in Bangalore, said, "Earlier we had to read her lips and follow lisping. She regained her voice a few days ago and now she can speak like before.”
