The ten-year-old Shravan Singh, who spiritedly provided hydrating drinks, including milk and Lassi, to the troops stationed at the border, just 2 km away from his village, during Operation Sindoor, will be taken care of by the Indian army for his education.

The Indian Army announced it, and this news is being shared on social media platforms as a story of valour and patriotism of the young Punjabi boy.

Ten-year-old Shravan Singh’s deeds are a lesson first, and a glorious achievement later. This boy from the Tara Wali village of the Ferozpur district in Punjab, understood what it meant to live close to a national border and took responsibility as soon as the horizon offered him sight.

As troops began to be stationed and toiled against forces on the opposite side of the border, young Shravan took it upon himself to bring them water, milk, lassi, and tea to ensure that they could recuperate and keep themselves steady.

"I want to become a 'fauji' when I grow up. I want to serve the country," the boy told PTI.

The boy was thought and acted on his feet, earning him that adoration and trust of all the soldiers whom he served.

He understood exactly what it meant for his village to be situated so close to the border. This meant that regardless of what he was capable or incapable of doing, he had to ensure the best outcome, which meant that he had to help in what way he could.

It is important to be aware of the fear this kind of serious escalation would present in most civilians that are trapped in a situation like this, but it would seem that Shravan, living close to the border understood exactly why need needed to be courageous and composed.
