4 arrested for assaulting driver on suspicion on carrying beef

Mathura

The Uttar Pradesh Police has arrested four people for thrashing the driver of a pickup van on suspicion of carrying beef and smuggling cattle in his vehicle in Ral village of Mathura. The suspects had also thrashed two other persons taking them as accomplices of the driver.
 
The accused named in the FIR are, Bhola, 26, Mangal, 32, Bhola, 20, and Naubat, 35, have been arrested from Ral village and will be produced in the court later on Wednesday.
 
Amir was stopped and brutally thrashed by them on Sunday night.
 
Many videos of this incident have gone viral on social media, in which two to three people are shown beating Aamir with a belt, while his shirt got torn.
 
Police said, in the preliminary investigations, nothing was found in the van except some animal carcasses for which Amir had a license.
