The death of Col Manpreet Singh, Commanding Officer, 19 Rashtriya Rifles, Maj Aashish Dhonchak and Dy.SP, Humayun Bhat has caused anger and grief across Kashmir. People came out in Srinagar city and other towns holding protests marches against Pakistan for sponsoring terrorism in Kashmir and candles in memory of the fallen soldiers.
The operation against the suspected Pakistani terrorists in Kokernag, Anantnag, who are entrenched in a thick jungle and uphill es continuing. Senior J&K Police officer Imtiyaz Hussain posted this image on X to explain the challenged in fighting the highly trained terrorists in treacherous terrain.
In his post SSP Baramulla, Hussain said "With terrorism almost entirely wiped out from Kashmir valley, it’s the challenging terrains like this where a few of these bad guys are still surviving. Nonetheless, brave-hearts in uniform will hunt them down wherever they hide - be it forests,hills or rat.:

The marches and memorial services for the three fallen soldiers were held in Shopian, Kupwara, Kulgam, Srinafar, Baramulla, etc.
In Kupwara, the frontier town in north Kashmir, a large number of women also joined the marche in memory of the Army officers and the Kashmir police officer.

In Kulgam police officers joined locals in taking candle light march in memory of the martyrs.
Prayers for the departed maryers were also held in many school in Jammu and Rajouri.

Army sources said two terrotists of Lashkar-e-Toiba, a Pakistan based terrorist organisation floated and supported by the ISI have been trapped in the area by the soldiers.
