Shruti Sharma, the topper of the UPSC Civil Services examinations, 2021, has received coaching from the Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) of the Jamia Milia Islamia University, New Delhi. Besides Shruti, 23 students including nine women from RCA have been selected for the Civil Services 2021.

 

The news has spread a wave of joy across the central University.

 

Vice Chancellor of JMI said many of these selected candidates would get IAS, IPS, IFS, and other central services.

 

JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar visited Shruti’s residence in Delhi to congratulate her. She also congratulated members of her family on her spectacular success. She was accompanied by Jamia Milia Islamia’s Registrar Prof. Nazim Husain Jafri, Director RCA Prof. Abid Haleem accompanied her.


Prof. Akhtar said this was a big achievement for not only Shruti Sharma but for the university too. She was particularly happy that nine out of 23 successful candidates are girls. 

 

Prof. Akhtar hoped that this achievement would motivate others at the RCA to add to their confidence.

She also conveyed her best wishes to those students who missed the selection after reaching the interview level. 

 

Apart from the RCA alumnus, Mehak Jain, who had obtained her Masters in Public Administration, from the Department of Political Science, JMI, has also cleared the coveted exam and secured 17th rank.


A handout of the University said the JMI and RCA have consistently performed well and given good results each year.

 

“The robust coaching, academic environment, professional test series, mock interviews, 24x7 library facilities, and excellent peer group are main reasons for its success.” 

 

So far among those who received coaching at RCA, 270 students have cleared UPSC and 403 candidates have been selected for various State Public Service Commissions, RBI, CAPF, etc., and have joined premium services. 

 

The university took this opportunity to announce that RCA has also notified its entrance test examination schedule as available on Jamia’s website- https://www.jmi.ac.in. The Last date to fill out the application form is 16th May 2022.
