The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has started imparting arms training to the villagers living in border areas of Rajouri district that recently saw terrorists killing seven locals including two children.
The Village Defence Guards the new name of the Village Defence Committees comprise men and women who are willing to get arms training to defend the villagers in case of a terrorist attack.
The villagers are excited about the training and say they are ready to defend their country against terrorists. at any cost.
The Daily Excelsior newspaper posted some pictures of villagers being trained by the CRPF on Twitter:

In the meantime, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have detained around 50 people for questioning in the January 1 terror attack in the Rajouri district.
Police sources said that these people belong to different parts of the Rajouri district and were being questioned about the terror attack.
Seven people were killed and over a dozen injured in Dhangri village of Rajouri district.
"These detained persons are being questioned by police and other agencies. They have made some important disclosures which will help in the further progress of the investigation," sources said.
