Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta flagged off 40 new electric buses and a modern bus terminal at Azadpur on Tuesday.

Member of Parliament Praveen Khandelwal, Delhi Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh, and BJP MLA Rajkumar Bhatia of Adarsh Nagar were also present on the occasion.
While addressing the gathering at the event, the Delhi CM said, "I want to congratulate you all...Today is an achievement of this government. This change has happened because of the power of your vote."

She took a swipe at the opposition, saying that they formed a "government of advertisement," which failed to bring development to the capital city. She further outlined that the present Delhi government did not advertise but delivered progress.

"For years, Delhi was entangled in issues...There was nobody to listen...It was a government of advertisements only... Our government executes major projects for the capital city daily...How many advertisements did we put up? We don't even put hoardings...We simply deliver new initiatives to the people of Delhi..." she stated.

The Delhi CM emphasised that the government has provided 1,400 buses within the span of eight months since its implementation, whereas the previous government was able to bring only 2,000 buses to the capital city in 11 years.

"Today, we are giving 40 electric buses to Delhi and a bus terminal...Just two days ago, we delivered 50 buses to Delhi...We are giving 40 more today...The Delhi government has issued 1,400 buses to the people of Delhi within eight months...The previous government brought only 2,000 buses in 11 years," she said.

"The previous government neither took care of the mountains of garbage nor the poor road infrastructure...Since you brought the Bhartiya Janata Party to power in Delhi, we are working in favour of Delhi 24*7," she added.

Meanwhile, Delhi Transport Minister Pankaj Kumar Singh told ANI that the new bus terminal is equipped with all the necessary facilities to enhance the travel experience of passengers.

"We have inaugurated 40 electric buses...This modern bus terminal is made for the passengers...116 buses will go to 21 sites from this terminal...The terminal is equipped with seating arrangements, food arrangements, and washroom facilities," he stated.
