The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Thursday arrested Chitra Ramkrishna, the former CEO of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) in connection with a money laundering case pertaining to allegedly tapping the phones of NSE employees between 2009 and 2017.

The former NSE boss is alleged to have connived with former Mumbai Police Commissioner Sanjay Pandey to snoop on the NSE employees.

ED had moved the court to seek permission to record her statement and demand her custodial remand.

The court allowed ED to four-day remand of Ramkrishna.

Earlier, the CBI on July 8 recorded the statement of Sanjay Pandey in this connection.
