On Saturday when Muslim mobs had turned violent in many places across Bengal over the remarks of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma about Islam, a voice of sanity rose in this mayhem in Howrah, West Bengal.

In a message of reconciliation, Pirzada Sanaullah Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif, rose from a blockage and spoke in a manner to drill sense into the minds of angry protesters that ultimately prevented the mob going on rampage and disrupting general life.

He is seen standing on some platform and addressing the mob. His words were suddenly heard on the streets of Howrah in the milie. When a group of people joined the protest, Pirzada Sanaullah Siddiqui appealed to them to lift the blockade.

He began by asking the people to lift the blockade since it is causing immense hardships to doctors, passersby and patients.

"We will not blockade. Suppose someone is going to the airport, someone is going to the hospital, the baby is in the womb. No."

His impromptu address in the Bengali language has gone viral on social media and is being widely shared by people across the country.

He asks the mob, “Show me one act of Nabi (Prophet Mohammad) that has harmed others?

“Remove blockade; people are suffering.”

He says: “because of one (Read Hindu) we can’t call 5 Hindus bad, similarly because of 1 wrong Muslim our Hindu brothers don’t blame another 5 Muslims. Even Hindus love our Nabi. Common people are suffering. We belong to the nation and we must follow law of the land. Protest democratically.” He goes on to say: “This country is ours. Hindustan is ours. Don't forget. Don't hurt people of other religions for disrespecting the Prophet."

These words were suddenly heard on the streets of Howrah where the fire of unrest had spread. When a group of people joined the protest, Pirzada Sanaullah Siddiqui of Furfura Sharif appealed to them to lift the blockade in this manner.

This statement of Pirzada Sanaullah Siddiqui has gone viral within moments of being posted on Facebook in the form of video. Many believe that his message in the face of violence will show the right direction to those who create divisions.
