JUH sends 2 riots victims to Chennai for treatment

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has sponsored the treatment of two persons who had lost their vision in the violence during February 2020 riots in northeast Delhi.

Shahrukh from Loni (Uttar Pradesh) and Muhammad Vakil of Shiv Vihar Delhi, has been chosen for help by the Jamiat. Both of them had lost their vision in attack by goons during the riots.

Both of them will have been sent to Chennai for treatment by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind who found their cases most deserving of the help.

Both Shahrukh and Mohammad Vakil will be treated at Shankar Netralaya in Chennai. Both of them were sent off at a function in which Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind general secretary Maulana Hakim-ud-din Qasmi, Maulana Gayyur Qasmi were also present.

Muhammad Vakil said that the rioters had thrown acid in his eyes, due to which he lost his eyes. He could not regain his vision even after treatment.

Shahrukh, who is younger, was attacked as he was returning from Kasabpura. He had suffered serious injuries on his head and eyes, due to which he lost his eyesight. He has also lost his memory.

Shahrukh also boarded the train to Chennai with Muhamad Vakil.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind is continuously helping people. Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has done a great job in rehabilitating and providing employment to the people in Shiv Vihar.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has restored an entire tyre market that was set ablaze by rioters.

Delhi riots had left 53 people – Muslims and Hindus dead – and hundreds of people homeless. Property worth millions was destroyed in the riots. The Delhi Court has recently said the riots were a pre-mediated plan and done triggered spontaneously.
