8 people have died in a fire incident at a hotel in Secunderabad.
According to the police, the fire started in the basement of the building on Monday night where a lot of electric bikes were parked.
The basement houses the charging unit of the electric scooter showroom which is on the ground floor of the hotel building.
"The fire broke out in the electric scooter charging unit on the ground floor. Smoke overpowered the people staying on the first and second floors. The remaining people jumped from the building and were rescued by locals," said Hyderabad Commissioner CV Anand.
