In a release, Madani expressed the hope that this process will ensure fair governance, sound policy-making, and equitable distribution of resources. Maulana Madani said that the caste-based census is no longer just a government operation, but a social and political necessity.
The data obtained from it will have a direct impact on the reservation policy, social development projects, and equitable distribution of resources.
Maulana Madani has appealed to all Muslims to actively participate in it. Every Muslim family should ensure that their prevailing caste identity is recorded correctly. Local branches of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, all Muslim organizations, religious institutions, and community leaders have also been requested to guide the common people and make them aware of the long-term implications of this process.

Maulana Madani also clarified that this move is not against the principles of Islamic equality but a practical necessity. He said that although Islam supports an egalitarian society, a large population of Muslims in India remains socially and economically backward. Now is the time for us to consider it a moral and constitutional duty to try to bring justice to the most deprived sections—especially the backward and weak Muslims.
