Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit to UAE – 7th in the 10 years of his rule – was marked by his talks with the President of UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and a rousing reception by the Indian Diaspora ahead of his inauguration the first and a grandiose Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi.

As president of UAE Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan came to receive PM Modi at the airport, their interaction was marked by warmth and a close friendship. As both leaders gave a tight hug to each other at the airport, Modi said he was touched by “Brother Zayed’s coming to the airport to receive me.”

He wrote on X that while it is his 7th visit to the UAE, he found “the same warmth and enthusiasm” in brother Zayed’s behavior.

Later Prime Minister Narendra Modi was also honoured with the prestigious Order of Zayed, the highest civilian award of the UAE and Modi called it “an honour for 140 crore Indians.”

The two leaders held bilateral talks where they reviewed “facets of comprehensive strategic partnership and discussed ways to deepen it further.”

Modi said the two nations are forging a relationship anchored in a shared past and a glorious future.

Modi was given a rousing welcome by the Indian community in UAE. The Diaspora had organised a programmed called “Alhan Modi in his honour.” Modi said he was overwhelmed by the reception. Prime Minister shared pictures of his meeting the Diaspora and said he was overwhelmed by his reception.

The leaders witnessed exchange of several key MoUs/Agreements on investment, connectivity, fintech, digital, culture among others.
