Purge of JK terror moles in JK govt. begins; 11 sacked

In a major purge of the terror supporter, the Jammu and Kashmir government led by Lt Giovernor Manoj Sinha has sacked 11 employees including the two sons of the Pakistan-based Hizbul mujahideen chief Syed Saluhudin alias Yusuf Shah from the government service.

These employees were have been fired on the recommendations of a designated committee of the Jammu and Kashmir UT for scrutinizing and recommending cases under Article 311(2) (c) of the Constitution of India.

They were found to be involved in supporting, abetting and direct involvement in terrorism.

Salahuddin's sons Syed Ahmad Shakeel and Shahid Yousuf were working in the Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, a multi-speciality government healthcare institution in Srinagar, and the health department respectively. Both of them have been booked by the National Investigating Agency for their involvement in receiving, using, sending and circulating terror funds via hawala rackets.

Among those dismissed from services four persons are from Anantnag, south Kashmir, 3 from Budgam, 1 each from Baramulla, Srinagar, Pulwama and Kupwara. Out of these, 4 were working in the Education department, 2 in J&K Police & 1 each in Agriculture, Skill Development, Power, SKIMS and Health department.

Sources said among the sacked employees was an orderly of an ITI, Kupwara, who was an overground worker (OGW) of the Pakistan-based terror group Laskhar-e-toiba. He had been providing information about the movements of the security forces to his terror outfit and was harbouring and providing logistic support to them.

Two teachers from Anantnag, Jabbar Ahmed Parrey and Nisar Ahmed Tantrey were found involved in propagating and participating in indoctrination activities of the secessionist ideology of the Jamaat-e-Islami and Dukhtaran-e-millet.

The other eight employees included two constables of the police who were working as the moles of the terrorist organizations, leaking inner secrets of the police to terrorists and also providing logistic support.

One of them identified as Abdul Rashid Shigan was involved in attacking the security forces.

Another dismissed employee is Naaz Mohammad Allaie, an orderly of the health department who was an OGW of Hizbul Mujahiddenm, was directly involved in militancy and harbouring terrorists at his place.

Shaheen Ahmad Lone, an inspector of the Power department was found involved in smuggling and transporting arms for Hizbul Mujahideen. He was arrested while travelling with two terrorists on the Jammu-Srinagar highway along with arms and ammunition in January last year.
