Condolences and tributes poured in from different corners of the world following the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Heeraba who breathed her last early on Friday morning. She was 100 years old and passed away at the UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre in Ahmedbad
Prominent among those who sent condolence messages are Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Nepal's newly sworn in Prime Minister, Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, former Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, Maldives President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, former Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Duba. Besides world leaders, Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama,Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, BJP National President, J.P. Nadda, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, his predecessor Vijay Rupani and Uttar Pradesh Chief MInister Yogi Adityanath also condoled the demise of PM Modi's mother.

Foreign diplomats posted in New Delhi also sent condolences. Russian Ambassador to India, Denis Alipov and German Ambassador to India, Philipp Ackermann also tweeted.
Tweeting his condolence message in Hindi, the Russian Ambassador said.

Syed Naseruddin Chishty, the Chairman of All India Sufi Sajjadanashin Council, also expressed shock and sadness over the demise of the Prime Minister’s mother.He tweeted.

Senior RSS leader and chief patron of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch Indresh Kumar on Friday condoled the demise of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben and termed the loss "unbearable and irreplaceable". In his condolence message, Kumar said that the death of the Prime Minister's mother is very sad and that Heeraba stood as a symbol of courage, simplicity, honesty and hard work. "Hundreds of salutations to her. In this difficult hour, I extend my deepest condolences to him and his family," he said.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed condolences to PM Modi from an event In Howrah which he joined in virtual mode, She told PM Modi, "Please take some rest. I don't know how to condole your mother's death, your mother is our mother. I remember my mother also.''
Banerjee also thanked PM Modi for joining the programme in spite of suffering such a huge personal loss.
