New Delhi
Launching the Hindi-Urdu version of Samaveda - one of the four ancient Vedas originally written in Sanskrit - by Iqbal Durrani, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Supremo Mohan Bhagwat said that in Sanatana Dharma, knowledge without mundane and spiritual aspects is incomplete.
Samveda is a book of Sanskrit humyns writted approximately in the period 1500 and 1200 BCE
Referring to the perceived rising hate and tension among people of different religions, Bhagwat said that the destination of people following different religions is the same.
Iqbal Durrani, who translated the Samveda into Urdu, says that 400 years ago, Mughal Prince Dara Shikoh wanted to translate the Vedas, but his brother Aurangzeb got him killed in the war of succession to Shah Jahan's throne.

”Today, under the rule of PM Modi, I have fulfilled his dream. Aurangzeb lost and Modi won,” the author said.”
The others present on the occasion included Geeta Manishi, Swami Gyananand Maharaj, Swami Kailashanand, Dr. Iqbal Durrani, Dr. Indresh Kumar, Ram Lal of the RSS, artists, and Bollywood personalities Gajendra Chauhan, Sunil Shetty, Jayprada, and Mukesh Khanna.
Besides, Bhajan singer Anoop Jalota, Maulana Umer Ilyasi, Manoj Tiwari, a member of Parliament, and Hans Raj Hans were present on the occasion. The programme started with Anup Jalota rendering a Bhajan followed by Shiv Stuti by a group of artists.
On this occasion, Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat said that everyone's methods are different; everyone's paths are different, but everyone's destination is one. “Look at the destination, move towards it, and don't fight with each other by looking at the methods, this is a message for all and India has to give this message to the whole world.”
Bhagwat said that worship is part of a religion. However, only worship is not the complete truth of any religion. “The ultimate truth is the core of every religion and everyone should try to achieve it. He said that everyone's path seems right, but it should be understood that the ultimate goal of all these paths is to attain the one truth,” he said in line with his approach to addressing inter-faith differences and tensions.
Bhagwat said that in Sanatan Dharma, knowledge without both internal and external knowledge is not considered complete. Veda Sutras are like sentences, other compositions like Upanishads are needed to understand their full meaning. We must study them so that we can understand their basic messages.
Bhagwat said, “it doesn't matter whom we worship so many things that give such knowledge, it is all ours. Some people will worship it. But it is for all of us, we all have to bring it down in our mind, we all have to bring it down in our divine behavior.”
Appreciating Durrani’s work, Bhagwat said, we all must strive for knowledge about our mundane life and spiritual life. “I congratulate him. I pray that we all have to understand this and gradually make it our habit. We will all do this work, I wish everyone the best.

He asked people not to fight with each other for reaching the common destination that all religions lead us to.

Writer Iqbal Durrani said that the Samaveda book is a collection of mantras. This mantra is a means of communication between man and God. He said, there is nothing in this book, which a Muslim cannot understand after reading it. Further said, I want that there should be Hindu-Muslim unity in the country, and there should be information about each other's scriptures because all these are the words of God.
