Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will pay a state visit to India from September 5 to 8.

Announcing the visit at the weekly beiefing, MEA Official Spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said that the government is looking forward to the visit of the Bangladesh Prime Minister.

The Bangladesh Prime Minister is also likely to visit Ajmer. Sheikh Haisna last visited India in October 2019

She will call on the President, Droupadi Murmu and Jagdeep Dhankar.

The Bangladesh Prime MInister will also hold bilateral consultations with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.The External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar will also call on the Bangladesh Prime Minister during her visit.

The MEA Official spokesoerson said, " In recent years, both sides have sustained high level of engagement, including at the highest level."

Mr Bagchi said,“ The forthcoming visit of President Sheikh Hasina will further strengthen the multi-faceted  relationshio between our two countries based on string historial cand cultural ties and mutual trust and understanding.
