Former Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Oding, who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, has praised Indian Ayurveda after his daughter regained her eyesight with use of traditional therapies in Kochi, Kerala.
Oding apparently told Prime Minister Modi that he must bring Ayurveada to Africa so that the indigenious plants and herbs of the continent could be used for therapeutics.
Oding said he had come to India for his daughter's eye treatment. “After three weeks of treatment, there was a substantial improvement in her eyesight. It was a big surprise for my family that our daughter could see almost everything,” told told a news agency.
His daughter was treated at a Ayurveda center in Kochi.
He said ‘by using these traditional medicines, she finally has her eyesight back and this gave us a lot of confidence.”
“I have discussed with PM Modi to bring this treatment method (Ayurveda) to Africa and use our indigenous plants for therapeutics.
