In the continued tirade against the religious minorities in Pakistan, gunmen today shot dead Satnam Singh, a Sikh Unnani practitioner in Peshwar, Pakistan’s northwest city bordering Afghanistan.
Hakeem Satnam Singh Khalsa was shot by unidentified gunmen while he was at his shop. Four bullets hit him and he is reported to have died on the spot.
Satnam Singh was a respectable among the Sikh community of Peshawar and he was a popular Hakeen, practitioner of Unnani (Greek) medicine.
Police are looking at all the angle including involvement of terrorists in the dastardly act.
There are some 15,000 Sikh living in Peshawar and most of them are into business. Already, terrorists have killed some prominent Sikhs of the city including a TV anchor and a community leader to sending across fear among the community.
