Unprecedented scenes of joy and revelery involving young men and women as they celebratied the New year eve at Srinagar’s Lal Chowk have sent a message of normalcy and yearning of the common Kashmiris for a lasting peace.

Many influential persons have posted their comments on social media about this big change that they could never imagine once.

Athar Aamir Khan, Commissioner, Srinagar Municipality who heads the Smart City project has posted this on X:

Such events were also organised by tourist spots like Gulmarg where hotels are full for the season.

The J&K Tourism posted images of celebrations across Kashmir's tourist spots on X:

Lal Chowk was once infamous for the terrorist attacks and the unfurling of Pakistan flag by extremists on the clock tower.

Hotels in Gulmarg which is most frequented winter tourist resort are booked for the season.

The JK tourism invited well known Kashmiri artists Abha hanjura and Adil Gurezi to perform for the tourists. News Agency ANI released the video of the musical show at Gulmarg on X:
