Akash Mehra was the only surviving son of the Krishna Dhaba owner. He was 22-year-old.
He was shot outside his shop located in the high-security zone in Sonwar on February 18.
Akash Mehra had just joined his father's business a few days ago before this incident.

Akash had been on ventilator support after his surgery in the SHMS hospital of Srinagar. He succumbed to injuries on early Saturday morning.
The protestors held candles in their hands and raised slogans of communal amity like, "Hindu Muslim Sikh Itehaad - Zindabad" (Long Live the Unity of Hindu-Muslim and Sikh) and "Kashmiriyon ka katleaam, band karo. band karo" (stop the killings of Kashmiris).
