AMU listed in top 25 Indian Universities

Aligharh Muslim University has been ranked among the top 25 Universities in India by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR).

Being placed at the 24th position brings AMU into the league of prestigious institutes like Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedababd, Indian Institutes of Technology and the Indian Institute of Sciences, Bengaluru, Delhi University and Punjab University etc.

Congratulating the faculty members and students for securing ranks in top educational institutions, AMU Vice Chancellor Professor Tariq Mansoor said, "It is a moment of satisfaction for the entire AMU fraternity."

Prof Mansoor said that the remarkable success due to the collective and continuous efforts of the teachers and students is enhancing the status of the University in India and abroad.

Professor Salim Baig (Chairman, Committee for Rankings) said, “The CWUR ranks AMU on the basis of strong indicators such as 'quality of education', which are university alumni achieving key academic distinctions relative to the size of the university, It is measured by the number of . 'Alumni employability' by number of university alumni holding top executive positions in the world's largest companies compared to university size, 'quality of faculty' faculty members who have achieved key academic distinctions and Research output is based on 'research performance' that results in high quality publications, etc."
