Former MP Priya Dutt on Wednesday shared a heartfelt tribute to her parents, legendary actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis, on their wedding anniversary.
Taking to Instagram, Priya posted a series of throwback photographs, including portraits of the iconic couple and a childhood family picture, remembering their enduring bond and the values she learned from them.
“Together, they built a home overflowing with love, laughter and learning. Today marks the anniversary of their everlasting love for each other,” she wrote in her post.
She reflected on how their relationship exemplified a strong partnership built on care, patience and mutual support. “Through their bond, I learned that love thrives in patience, respect and joy, and that a partnership can be both tender and strong, personal and far-reaching,” she added, concluding the message with, “Happy anniversary Ma and Papa.”
Priya Dutt is the younger sister of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt and entered active politics after the death of her father. She is associated with the Indian National Congress.
The relationship between Sunil Dutt and Nargis reportedly began during the filming of the classic 1957 movie Mother India.

The couple married on March 11, 1958, and had three children — Sanjay Dutt, Namrata Dutt and Priya Dutt. Sunil Dutt later became a senior Congress leader and served as a Member of Parliament from the Mumbai North West Lok Sabha constituency.
