An Incident of human unity was seen in Bihar as some other parts of the country were mired in communal violence over the pelting of stones on the procession of Ram Navami festival and its counter-reaction.

In the land where Gautam Buddha received enlightenment, a scene of communal harmony was witnessed in the Katihar district when Hindus formed a human chain in front of a mosque to protect it from a possible attack from the mob.

A Twitter user named Owais Sultan Khan posted the picture of that scene and wrote that during the Ram Navami procession in Katihar, Bihar, people from the majority community formed a human chain in front of Jama Masjid to protect it.

A similar example of communal harmony was seen in Aurangabad in Maharashtra. A Ram Navami procession was taken out in Aurangabad, but when the procession passed in front of a mosque, the DJ playing in the procession was stopped due to religious sentiments.

These incidents of communal harmony are being appreciated by the people and are being tweeted on social media.

Due to the Covid pandemic, the Ram Navami procession was taken out in many cities and towns across the country for two years.

Violent incidents happened in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh during the procession, in which dozens of people were injured.
