Jamaat-e-Islami’s efforts to provide health services at concessional rates to people in Hyderbad got a fillip when a local businessman Tirupati Rao joined its efforts and donated expensive machinery used for detection of disease to their healthcare centers.

The Jamaat has been providing medical facilities to poor and needy patients at the Ruman clinics set up at two places in Karimnagar. Hundreds of patients of all communities seek help from these clinics each day.

Tirupati Rao, the owner of a Pharmaceutical company, was impressed with Jamaat’s work in healthcare that he joined hands with it to augment facilities at its clinics.

Jamaat-e-Islami has set up Ruman Clinic at Karkhans Ghadda and Mukarrampura. The clinic at Karkhana Gadda inside a building owned by the Jamaat has been operational since September 2015. It offers services of 3 physicians and specialists besides a 10-member medical staff team.

The Mukarrampura clinic was set up in November last year during the Covid-19 pandemic when people needed it the most. It has three women doctors and 5 employees.

In these two clinics, all diagnostic tests are being offered to the patients at 70 percent discounted rates. Both the clinics are open from 7 am to 9 pm.

Both these clinics also are boon to the poor people of the city. Those who are even unable to pay the nominal fees and cost of medicines and clinical tests are referred to the Public Service Department of Jamaat-e-Islami that scrutinized their claims of being poor and approved their free treatment.

Impressed by the services of Jamaat-e-Islami, Tirupati Rao not only praised its services to humanity but also donated a blood cell counter machine worth Rs 2.5 lakh to its Mukarrampura branch. This machine is used for the crucial test of Complete Blood Picture (CBP) to diagnose the disease. Tirupati Rao is the owner of RK Surgical. Speaking to Awaz-The Voice, Tirupati Rao said that all religions teach humanity. Since Jamaat-e-Islami is providing the best and ideal service to humanity he was inspired and decided to donate the machine.

He said that everyone's cooperation is necessary for building a healthy society. Tirupati Rao said that he considers it his duty to help organizations working for the service of the people. He has also donated a cell counter machine to a Christian missionary.

He said that helping others gives him peace of mind and that we should help each other on humanitarian grounds.

Jamaat-e-Islami officials lauded Tirupati Rao's initiative and said that clinics have been set up to meet the medical needs of the poor and needy. People should make use of clinics and ensure a healthy society.
