The expansion of work undertaken by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh over the past year and its future plans will be discussed at a key three-day meeting of its top decision-making body in Samalkha in Haryana from March 13, a senior functionary said on Wednesday.

RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat, along with other senior Sangh leaders, Nitin Nabin and presidents and key office-bearers of 32 affiliated organisations will attend the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha (ABPS).

Addressing a press conference in Samalkha in Panipat district, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said the meeting will review the organisation’s activities during 2025–26 and present reports on major initiatives undertaken across different regions.

From the RSS’ organisational perspective, the ABPS is the apex decision-making body of the Sangh.

As this year marks the centenary of the RSS, the meeting will also include detailed discussions on major programmes and campaigns organised as part of the celebrations. These include the mass contact campaign Grihasampark, Hindu Sammelan, youth conferences, gatherings of prominent citizens and social harmony meetings.

Ambekar said the RSS has reached out to more than 10 crore households through the Grihasampark campaign.

He added that the organisation has expanded its activities over the past year with the addition of around 6,000 new shakhas, and a detailed report on this growth will be presented during the meeting.

The discussions will also focus on how to further advance the Sangh’s work and encourage wider public participation in its initiatives, he said.

Ambekar said deliberations will be held on plans for Sangh Shiksha Vargs (training camps), Karyakarta Vikas Vargs (worker development courses) and other training programmes, following which the organisation’s action plan for the coming year will be finalised.

The meeting will also be attended by RSS Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale, other senior office-bearers and members of the national executive.

A total of 1,487 karyakartas, including elected representatives and key office-bearers from across the country, are expected to participate in the event, Ambekar said.

Presidents, general secretaries and organising secretaries of 32 affiliated organisations will also attend the meeting.

According to Ambekar, a growing number of people are connecting with the RSS through online platforms as well. In January 2025, 16,192 individuals expressed interest in joining the organisation, while the number rose to 26,445 during January–February this year.
