The Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Friday saw the introduction of seven key bills covering areas such as fire safety, education administration, taxation reforms, and urban planning.
Home Minister Mama Natung introduced the Arunachal Pradesh Fire and Emergency Services Bill, which aims to strengthen fire prevention measures and improve the functioning and maintenance of fire and emergency services across the state.
Education Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona tabled the Arunachal Pradesh Transfer and Posting of Employees of Education Department (Regulation and Management) Bill, proposing a structured legal framework to regulate the transfer and posting of teaching as well as non-teaching staff in the education department.
Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein introduced two bills — the Arunachal Pradesh Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Bill, seeking changes to the state’s GST Act of 2017, and the Arunachal Pradesh Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, aimed at amending the FRBM Act of 2006.
Panchayati Raj Minister Ojing Tasing presented the Arunachal Pradesh Local Authorities (Prohibition of Defection) (Amendment) Bill, which proposes amendments to the existing 2003 law.
Urban Affairs Minister Balo Raja introduced the Arunachal Pradesh Urban and Country Planning (Amendment) Bill, while Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pasang Dorjee Sona also tabled the Arunachal Pradesh Salaries, Allowances and Pension of Members of Legislative Assembly (Amendment) Bill.

Both of these bills seek to amend the respective existing legislations in the state.
