Guar gum prices on Wednesday rose by Rs 20 to Rs 11,355 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their holdings amid a firm spot demand.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for August delivery traded higher by Rs 20, or 0.18 per cent, to Rs 11,355 per quintal with an open interest of 49,215 lots.

Analysts said that after tracking a firm physical market trend, traders raised their bets, which led to a rise in guar gum prices.
