Gohar of Shopian wins international award

Gohar Ahmed Wani, a 27-year old young Kashmiri from Shopian in south Kashmir has won the Gohar of Shopian wins international award of the West Midlands Center for Professional Advancement.

Besides, Wani has already won three more prestigious awards.

He has won three prestigious awards include the World Intellectual Property Accreditation Scholar Medal in Economics, the Indo-Asian IIP Outstanding Economics Scientist Award and the Adam Smith National Academic Eminence Award.

Gohar Ahmed Wani is resident of Safanagri village and is currently pursuing a PhD at the Central University of Kerala's School of Economics. He has done his master's degree from Kashmir University.

Describing his achievement, Gohar said that he was proud to receive the award and wished that more Kashmiri scholars get to win national and international research and educational awards.

He has won the World Intellectual Property Accreditation Scholar Medal Center for Professional Advancement in the West Midlands UK, Indo-Asian IIP Outstanding Economics Scientist Award for International Multidisciplinary Research Foundation India and Adam Smith International Award in Economics.

During last three-and-a-half-year research period, Wani presented 14 papers at national and international conferences and participated in 11 workshops to learn the ins and outs of research.

He has published numerous articles in national and international journals. He has also published some articles in the edited box. Wani is currently a member of five scientific and research institutes in India.
