British High Commissioner to India Lindy Cameron on Friday paid homage to the victims of the Air India Flight AI-171 crash on the first anniversary of one of India's deadliest aviation tragedies.
Cameron visited the crash site in the Meghaninagar area of Ahmedabad and offered floral tributes to the 260 people who lost their lives in the disaster on June 12 last year.
The London-bound Air India AI-171 flight crashed just 32 seconds after take-off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, before slamming into a hostel complex of BJ Medical College.

The crash claimed the lives of 241 passengers and crew members on board, along with 19 people on the ground. Only one passenger survived the accident.
Among those killed was former Vijay Rupani, whose death added to the national grief surrounding the tragedy.

The anniversary has been marked by remembrance ceremonies and tributes from officials, diplomats and bereaved families, many of whom continue to await the final investigation report into the cause of the crash.
