Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday greeted people of the state on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi and prayed for happiness and prosperity.

In a post on X in Hindi, Yogi Adityanath said, "Heartiest congratulations and best wishes to all devotees and the people of the state on the sacred festival of worship of Lord Shri Ganesh, the remover of obstacles and the harbinger of auspiciousness, 'Shri Ganesh Chaturthi'. May every obstacle be removed by the grace of Ganpati Bappa, every resolve be fulfilled... Ganpati Bappa Morya."

In another post, Adityanath said, "Heartfelt best wishes to you all on the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, an occasion that strengthens social unity and our resolve towards the nation. The spirit of knowledge, wisdom, and action of Ganeshotsav is also seen in the worship of Lord Vishwakarma, the deity of creation and construction.

"On September 17, when Lord Vishwakarma -- the first engineer of nature -- is worshipped, the resolve to build a developed Uttar Pradesh, scaling new heights through the confluence of skill and technology, will be further strengthened," he said.

In a letter titled 'Yogi kee Paati' shared with this X post, Adityanath, while advocating 'Vocal for Local', said, "I make a special request to all of you to make 'Vocal for Local' not just a thought, but a part of everyday practice. When there is an increase in the respect for local products, artisans get work, youth get employment opportunities, and the state's economy will gain a new speed. It is through sensitivity towards nature, faith in skill and local capabilities, that the path to a self-reliant and developed Uttar Pradesh will be paved."

Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, in a post on X, said, "Heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all on the auspicious festival of Shri Ganesh Chaturthi! May the grace of Lord Shri Ganesh ji bring joy and prosperity to every family. This is our prayer."

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, and UP BJP chief Pankaj Chaudhary also wished the people of the state on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi.

UP Congress chief Ajay Rai, in a post on X, said, "Heartfelt greetings from the Congress family to all fellow citizens on the sacred festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. May Vighnaharta (remover of obstacles) Shri Ganesh infuse happiness, prosperity, peace, and new energy into the lives of all of you."
